Acupuncture has been used for centuries in China to treat a host of problems, including knee pain, sprains and strains, and most gynecology complaints.
Today, acupuncture is recognized the world over. In fact, The World Health Organization has publicly announced that acupuncture is suitable for treating the following:
Ear, Nose and Throat Disorders
Toothaches, pain after tooth extraction, acute or chronic otitis, acute sinusitis, acute rhinitis, nasal catarrh, and acute tonsillitis and allergy related symptoms.
Bronchial asthma (in children or adults when uncomplicated).
Esophageal and cardio spasm, hiccup, gastroptosis, acute or chronic gastritis, sour stomach, chronic duodenal ulcers, acute or chronic colonitis, acute bacillary dysentery, constipation, diarrhea, and paralytic ileus.
Acute conjunctivitis, central retinitis, nearsightedness (in children), and cataracts without complications.
Neurological and Muscular Disorders
Headaches, migraines, trigeminal neuralgia, facial paralysis (within the first 3-6 months), post-stroke paresis, peripheral neuritis, neurological bladder dysfunction, bed wetting, inter-costal neuralgia, cervical syndrome, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, sciatica, low back pain, and osteoarthritis.
Allergy Elimination & Desensitization
Dr. Stanford is certified in both N.A.E.T. (Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Treatment) and BioSET™ Allergy Elimination & Desensitization Technique. BioSET™ is based on N.A.E.T.
BioSET™ Allergy Elimination & Desensitization
BioSET™ is a system of allergy elimination and desensitization originated by Ellen Cutler, D.C, and M.D… The acronym BioSET™ stands for bio-energetic sensitivity and enzyme therapy. Dr. Cutler describes it as a “natural holistic health care system to treat chronic and acute illness”. It is based on energetic medicine and meridian therapy to prevent and resolve chronic health conditions. Allergies or poor metabolism or a substance are determined either through the use of computerized testing or through muscles response testing (MRT), known as applied kinesiology. Muscle testing was originated by George J. Goodheart, D.C. in 1971. It is the practice of using manual muscle-strength testing to diagnose and prescribe treatment for patients.
MRT is often done with the patient lying down on a table and the practitioner at the head of the table. The practitioner tests the muscle strength in patient’s left arm with their left arm. The patient’s arm is perpendicular to their body at slightly less that a 90 degree angle. The practitioner pushes the patient’s left arm down toward their side, called the arm pull-down test or “delta test” while the patient resists while simultaneously holding the potential allergen in the right hand. An allergy or sensitivity is determined if the muscle testing is weak and the arm is pulled down or weakened while the practitioner pushes it forward.
Through the BioSET™ Allergy Elimination Technique the allergen is treated by having the patient touch the allergen or vial while receiving an acupuncture or acupressure treatment to balance their organs and treat their symptoms. By balancing the patient’s pulses and therefore their organs in the presence of the allergen, the body will accept the allergen 24 hours after the treatment. Many individual who are ill due to food allergies and or environmental allergies may become allergy free as a result of the combination of allergy elimination and acupuncture.
